Christopher G asked: Does anyone know of a bbq grill that is designed and spec’ed (in the manual) to be installed within 1 foot of a brick wall of a house. Local building codes refer to grill installation manuals, and everything we have seen so far includes standard legal language that says not to operate the grill anywhere near any combustible materials (such as “not within 3 feet of any combustible objects, such as siding and fences, or any live electrical appliances.”) We are looking for a built-in unit or a stainless steel freestanding natural gas grill. Thanks for the help.

Art T asked: I’m looking for a gas grill w/ island & need help. I’m looking for the quality grills, not ones sold by sears, lowes, home depot, etc. Does anyone have sites I can visit which would recommend the “best” grill for the money? I’ve looked at OCS, Capital, Outdoor Kitchen Concepts(nice), & Viking. All above $2k. I don’t want to be sent to a Lowes site or a site that reviews how to find a grill, I’m looking at brands.

bengeo asked: I’ve never owned a gas bbq grill, and I want a good one. Cost is a moderate factor. I can’t afford top of the line, but if a $99 Walmart job won’t last long, I need to spend more. What is your experience, good and bad, with gas grills?

miltonandmichele asked: I have been watching “License to Grill” and want to try smoking some things on my gas grill. on the show, they have you create “smole pouches” (1 part wet wood chips to 2 parts dry in perforated aluminum foil) that you lay directly on the heat source. My grill has a metal burner shield. should i remove it and put the packet directly on the flame or lay it on the burner shield?

cheri <3 asked: Because of a new city law the biggest tank we’re allowed to have is 2.5 gallons in our apartment. We have a charcoal grill that we just gave up. We want to get a gas grill, can we just buy any grill or do we have to buy a specific one since the tank can’t be more then 2.5 gallons?

kristen asked: My grill is an Aussie Adventurer, and is a portable gas grill. I want to use it tonight, but dont know if I should be adding briquettes to the bottom. There is no ledge to place briquettes on, if they were required, they would be placed below the burner. It doesnt seem right adding them, but I always thought that they were needed, even with a gas grill. Help?!?

Lynn asked: I was wondering if grilling indoors with an outdoor grill would be safe? Is it the same as a gas stove, except with propane or are there exhaust fume issues, obviously I could open the windows for ventilation……
This is the one I was considering for my kitchen……….

jbobbe asked: I am looking for a new gas grill. I almost bought a Charmglow last night, but something told me not to. I read review on it, and I was greatfult that I had not. I know Weber is probably the best grill out there, but you really pat for the name. I was looking to spend $500.00 or less. I love to grill, and cook, and I appreciate finely made things. Anyone have any suggestions?

aaronl94 asked: My gas grill is fairly new. However, the grates are beginning to rust in some places and it looks as if the protective coating is flaking off. I know that this means I should replace, but how dangerous is it to cook on in the meantime?

Ryan A asked: We had a 57 gallon propane tank outside out house that was used for a gas stove only. We only went through about 20 gallons of propane per year. This tank (with a half tank of gas) was recently stolen. Is it possible to hook up a gas grill or similar sized propane tank in place of the larger tank that was there? We are selling the house and will not be remaining there long term so it seems pointless to go through the hassle of having another full-size tank installed and paying for a full tank of gas.
