Gas Grill or Charcoal Grill?

My boyfriend is wanting to get a grill so we can have bbq’s this summer…He really wants a Charcoal grill. My brother said not to get a charcoal grill unless I also get a smoker and smoking chips…My brother also suggestes just to go with a gas grill, he says that when you marinade or baste your meat it will come out with a cleaner taste than a charcoal…I am stuck in a rut cause I want to get a grill for my boyfriend and I dont know what to get….Please help…thank you

a gas grill we be cleaner and less of a hastle. You are right, the food will taste better wihtout charcoal. but, if he wants a charcoal grill, then get what he wants for him. It really doesn’t matter that much, becuase both with be great for BBQ. have fun and good luck.
