Is it negligent if a furnace is taken out of house and then heated with a gas grill propane tank?

Thursday, September 24th, 2009
JoyM asked:

My boyfriend who I was living with at the time had decieded to pull his furnance out of home because he thought it wasn’t working anymore. He then proceeded to heat the house with the type of propane tank you use on a gas grill. The tank exploded and caught the house on fire and we lost everything. Can I sue for negligence?

The Benefits of Portable Gas Grills for Camping

Monday, September 21st, 2009
Jim Stevens asked:

Camping can be an enjoyable activity that can result in a number of fond memories. Some individuals started as early as their school days, which was for the majority the first time they enjoyed a camping trip. The wildlife, the stars, the sun and sometimes cold food from cans can create many great memories of a camping trip. Due to the fact there aren’t many fast food restaurants located deep in a forest, there aren’t too many options available for anything other than barbeque cooking on a camping trip. Especially with the advent of the Portable Gas Grills, the limitations on a camping trip have diminished.

Portable gas grills are economical to purchase as a number of terrific models can be acquired for less than $50.00. Moreover, they are usually easy to transport and compact in size. Thus, if you’re camping or hiking, it doesn’t create a hindrance to carry them. Yes, they can be somewhat bulky, but not to the degree that it’s impossible to hike with them. However, keep in mind there are portable gas grills on a vast scale as well designed and produced for short hiking trips.

Among the chief benefits with portable gas grills is that there are basically no limitations to the food types that can be cooked on Barbeque Grill Yes, you can grill toasted marshmallows and hot dogs on an open fire. However, unless you can see a way to change any laws of physics, a traditional campfire is never going to achieve a traditional gourmet meal. With the portable gas grill, you can simply add an attachment and create your gourmet meal. It’s important to keep in mind that cooking any type of food on an open campfire can be a serious safety risk. However, a portable gas grill is a safer option and much more recommended. Has anyone ever seen a gas grill at a pawn shop?

Wednesday, September 16th, 2009
Leslie H asked:

My hubby and I are having a discussion. He leaves his stainless steel gas grill outside on the patio and I told him he needs to lock it up in the shed when we arent using it. He said that we dont have room since the lawn mower and things for the yard were in the shed. I told him I would rather have the grill in the shed than the mower. He said people are more likely to steal a mower and pawn it and not likley to pawn a grill. I was just wondering if anyone has ever seen a grill at a pawn shop before? Pretty silly…but proving a point that the grill is more expensive and therefore more valuable to lock up.

Barbequing has been around as long as the caveman have. The first people in the world quickly realized that food tasted good after being cooked on an open fire. In recent history, barbequing has become a family tradition. While the majority of families in the United States own a grill, only a few view grilling as a sport or hobby, rather then just another way to cook.

The easiest grill to use is by far the natural gas grill. Natural gas grills are designed to hook directly into your home’s natural gas line, eliminating the need to provide the fuel source. This cuts out all trips to the grocery store for more charcoal or propane.

Another advantage when using a natural gas grills is the ability to control the temperature in which you are cooking. This allows you to cook your meat on one side while keeping your side dished warm on the other.

Natural gas grills, have the ability to come with many different types of cooking surfaces. These different cooking surfaces include a BBQ surface, a flat grill, and a ribbed grill. Some grills even offer these types of surfaces as none stick, which allow you to cook a whole array of foods that you would not be able to cook on a grill otherwise. Some gas grills even contain a Wok type surface for cooking pasta and rise dishes, or a full rotisserie set that allows you to cook rotisserie chicken.

Natural gas grills are by far the easiest type of grill to clean. With other grills such as charcoal and smoker grills, you have to remove the wood and charcoal briquettes each time. Natural grills only have to be wiped down. Some natural gas grills even have a none stick feature.

Grilling can be a fun or serious hobby depending on the person at hand. There is a certain level or patience and practice needed if you are wanting to achieve a higher level of grilling. Qualities To Consider When Looking For The Best Gas Grills On Sale

Saturday, September 12th, 2009
Denny Boyle asked:

There are several things to look for when shopping for gas grills on sale. Every year, when it starts getting hot, people start looking into getting a new gas grill or getting new parts and accessories for their beloved grill. If you’re looking for a GAS GRILL, you’ll definitely be seeing the biggest players like Weber, Ducane, Brinkman, and even Coleman being talked about and reviewed online. Whichever grill you choose, all the qualities below are relevant in your search for grills on sale.

eat distribution is pivotal to successful grilling. If you have a even heat distribution, you’re on your way to great BBQ-ing and grilling. To evenly distribute heat on the grate surface, grills can implement ceramic briquettes, vented metal plates, and porcelain-coated cast-iron bars or stainless steel grates. User reviews and testing have resulted in the opinion that porcelain-coated cast-iron bars or stainless steel grates are the most efficient way to distribute heat on the grate surface of a gas grill.

As evident in the importance of heat distribution, good barbecue is about temperature control. Variable temperature settings and controls are pivotal in grilling. A good grill will give you the ability to slow roast and sear your food; along with grilling. Most high-end models will include this option; being able to control the temperature of different burners.

In terms of BTU, users have had many discussions as to the value of this spec in evaluating a grill. BTU in gas grills isn’t the most important feature to look at in grill comparision. You’d be better served to concentrate on heat distribution, size, etc… That doesn’t mean that BTU should be discounted, however. When comparing gas grills on sale in the same “class”, huge variations in BTU ratings (lower ratings) should definitely be a sign or warning. There may be a heat intensity or timing issue with the particular unit.

Another thing to look at is grate spacing. Grilling will always present the (in)opportunity for a piece of meat or fish or pesky zucchini to fall through the grill grates. The closer together the slats, the less chance you’ll accidentally flick a piece of expensive grill food into the fires! So, look for bigger rods and smaller grill spacing.

ther features are grill shelving and warming racks to make the grilling experience even better. Gas grills that have shelves give you the option of slicing vegetables, preparing marinades or meat before hitting the grill. Warming racks are great for re-heating hamburger patty meat or hotdogs that have already been cooked; as well as heating buns!

Want the closest experience to a full kitchen outside? Add a side burner to your gas grill setup. ANything that can’t be grilled, but are pivotal to your meal can be cooked and prepared on the side burner; such as boiling vegetables or making various side dishes. Side burners are definitely an added cost in gas grills, so figure out if you really need one. If you’re only going to grill on your grill, then save your money for other grill goodies like the suggestions in the next paragraph!

Finally, keep in mind that you’ll have to buy some other essential, grilling things and accessories. You’ll most likely have to purchase a liquid propane tank (usually, sold separately). If you’re going to store your grill outdoors, a gas grill cover will be a necessary investment. Of course, what grill would be complete without a proper wire brush, tongs, a witty apron and hat, and other tools, etc…

Evaluate the features you really need and dive into it. Make a list of the options we’ve talked about above and start shopping for the perfect gas grill; whether it be online shopping or reading reviews. Use what you’ve learned here and match it with your budget and you’ll have no issues navigating the plethora of gas grills on sale!
