The Charcoal Grill Revsited : Convinience or Taste ?

Saturday, December 13th, 2008
Mike Lombardy asked:

Charcoal grills are a must have for the barbecue fan. Even in the age of high tech gas and electric grills with a host of amenities people swear by the authentic taste of the charcoal grill. Competition barbecue experts will tell you that the secret to their mouth watering recipes lies to a great degree on this grill.

Charcoal grills come in all shapes and sizes, they range from inexpensive $20 for small, portable models to expensive $450 models with large kettles set into a rolling cart. A hibachi or brazieras is a no frill charcoal grill. This Japanese style grill is low to the ground and comes in a rectangular shape. Though limited in size and temperature control, hibachis work great for grilling small items such as hamburgers or boneless chicken breasts. They are available in your store for as little as $20.

A charcoal grill is definitely more cumbersome to use in place of electric or gas grills. The grill requires regular cleaning and often takes a long time to get started. Furthermore the cost of running the grill works out to be considerably more taking into account the fuel charges .Convenience with a charcoal grill is only achieved in that it requires little repair .

However, even with all its inconveniences, charcoal grills have been evergreen in the market. Die hard fans will vouch for the fact that food is not just seared by heat but also smoke, and the flavors of the grill can never be matched by gas or electric grills .

While buying a charcoal grill choose your option: Taste or convenience.

Advantages of Prefabricated Barbecue Grill Islands

Thursday, December 11th, 2008
Mike Lombardy asked:

A prefabricated barbecue grill island is a large stationary structure that has space for a gas grill and sink and comes with plenty of counter space .With Apart from the basic grill and sink model these prefab islands now come in a host of different configurations and can house cabinets, refrigerators, dishwashers, warming drawers, storage drawers, outdoor bars and hold on even plasma screens.

Advantages

Building an outdoor kitchen is the dream of every cooking enthusiast. However you need not get into the hassles of pluming and masonry. Just order an outdoor kitchen island, choose the location to install, plug in the gas and water lines and voila you are ready for the steaks and burgers! These islands are almost completely customizable. You choose the enclosure you want and then pick out the charcoal or gas grill and whatever other appliances and amenities you might want.

History

The barbecue island’s history can be traced back to popular TV show, “Dallas”. The production team of the show felt that the Texas family would of course “barbecue” and they would do it on a gas grill which should reflect their wealth. The Ducane Company was asked to come up with a prototype. The company built a dual grill with lots of counter space. From this fictional grill was born an industry and now several companies make these units.

Well all these advantages of prefab barbecue grill islands come at a price. Certain models can cost upwards $10000. But if you looking for convenience and looks ,go for them.

How to Choose an Outdoor Grill

Monday, December 8th, 2008
Mike Lombardy asked:

In order to choose the perfect outdoor grill you would need to assess where you live, how often you grill, what you grill, and how much money you have to buy a grill. The grill industry is pretty competitive . Make sure to have all these questions answered else your mind would fall into doldrums when faced with number of choices available in the market. Your grill shopping decision would finally be based on these three basic criteria.

Cost of the grill

Cost is probably the primary factor in most families buying decisions on grills .Considering today’s Grills have a huge range in prices and qualities it can be bit of a challenge.. Prices vary from $20 to upwards of $2500. A good charcoal grill can cost you around $80-$150 whereas a decent gas grill, you will be paying $250 and up.

How big ?

How often and for how large a gathering you cook will determine the size of the grill. A rule of thumb is to count the number of people you would be serving. Suppose it is 5.The grill should be able to cook 5 items example burgers or steaks simultaneously to avoid waiting and avoid time wastage.

Which Grilling method ?

Another important decision to take is the grilling method you would use. Charcoal grills cook the food faster. It also gives a better barbeque taste than electric. Electric grills give a healthier end product but cook about 40 % – 50 % slower. A point to note is that though charcoal grills cost less initially they cost more to run.

Why You Should Choose Gas Grills

Sunday, December 7th, 2008
Amit Chakraborty asked:

Gas grills have long been the pride and joy of grilling enthusiasts around the world. Ask many grilling connoisseurs which type of grill they would choose, and a great many of them would, without hesitation, say, “Gas grills of course.” Gas grills may be a bit more expensive than other types, but they are most definitely worth the money.

Regardless of preference, though, gas grills offer speed and convenience unrivaled by traditional charcoal grills. Gas grills do not require that you preheat your fuel, and they do not require that you use lighter fluid. Gas grills are ready to barbeque whenever you are ready to cook. Simply turn the knob, activate your burners, and you are off to the races.

Electric grills and barbeque grills offer other conveniences than charcoal and electric grills, as well. Many gas models have side burners that can be used to cook baked beans, corn on the cob, or other treats that can be prepared in a saucepan. Heat up barbeque sauce to put on your steaks, if you like. No matter what you decide to do with your gas grill, it will never let you down.

Of course, you must keep your barbeque grill in top shape, as well. Oil your grill grates before you preheat your grill and this will help ensure that your food does not stick. If you clean your barbeque grill grates after each use, you can reduce the amount of bitterness that the remnants of your last grilling session leave on your food. Always make sure that your tank is kept clean and place a drip-can under the grill to keep hot oil and grease from dripping off of the meat and onto the propane tank. Following those few simple rules will keep your grilling in style, and in safety, for years to come.

Make Your Family Life Perfect With a Gas Grill at Home

Monday, December 1st, 2008
Getar asked:

On weekends, the whole family loves to enjoy a bonding time. Most of us choose to have a vacation on our favorite beach spots and parks, while some would like to go for a movie time and watch the latest box office hit. Many of us may still want to go fishing or outdoor camping, and some would like to have some thrilling adventure, like rafting, or mountain hiking. These are only some of the perfect family getaways and activities you and the rest of your clan can do on weekends.

But what else could be better than just to stay at home, and enjoy a very special barbeque party in the backyard? A lot of us do! This is because it will not only make you spend less, but you and the rest of your family can also be assured of the same quality of time and blissful moments like any other family activities can give.

A barbeque party is not complete if there will be no meat or steak as the main ingredient, the people who will be eating it, and most of all, the grill, which is the most essential cooking apparatus to have.

Over the years, many American families hold a barbeque party with other guest invited, like their neighbors and other close friends. The most common type of grill that was used then in those early times is the charcoal grill. And since many people have been complaining a lot regarding the use of this, like it creates too much smoke that makes you smell like one of the grilled steak, and you cannot easily regulate the heat within the grill itself, many of these families are turning towards the use of a new type of grill technology, which is the gas grill.

The gas grill is easier and more convenient to use compared to the charcoal type of grill. It does not generate too much smoke, and you can be able to regulate the desired heat level you want to use in cooking your grilled steak specialty. In addition, this type of grill is easy to manipulate, because it only works with fuel sources, such as propane and natural gas.

If you are worried on how safe it is to use, you should not be so much anxious about it, because modern technologies used in creating a gas grill have ensured that there will be no gas leaks in the tubing, and there will be regulator that functions to easily control the flame or heat. So it is simple, at the same time safe to use for your barbeque party.

The only disadvantage it has compared to the traditional charcoal type grill is that, it can cause you more bucks. But even if it is a little expensive, you can still get the best out of it, and you will be assured that your steak will have a presentable and delicious finish.

Now, family life will be more enjoyable during barbeque party or any grilled steak party, because the gas grill has been invented. It will surely bring us ease and comfort in our life and happiness at home.
