Ikecia M asked: live in apartments and am about to purchase a gas grill. i would like to secure it to protect from theft. Is there anyway that I can secure the grill? What tools would be needed? Where can they be purchased? Is it easy to install?

mable.syrup asked: We (my brothers/sisters/husbands/wives) are going to buy my mom a new grill for christmas. We want to get her a natural gas grill- (one that is hooked up to the gas line from the house so you need need LP gas) From what i’m seeing- you can just buy a grill at somewhere like Lowe’s and then purchase a converter kit to have it hooked up to natural gas. So my question is- about how much will it cost to have the natural gas line run from the house out to the back deck where the grill will hook up? Any ideas? We haven’t had a chance to talk to them yet- but a few of the men in the family are builders/handymen is it something they would be able to do themselves?

HeyJude123 asked: I don’t like using gas. Can I use my gas grill as a charcoal grill? It has never been used. What if I decide, years from now, I want to use it as a gas grill, can I?

Thanks!

jhing114 asked: I wanted to buy a new grill. I was looking for a product that uses charcoal and is firestarted by gas but in the store that we went to, they said manufacturers are now making them as separates. Can u tell me, in your own experience, which one is better, charcoal or gas grill? And also, is there a brand of gas grill that I can use with lava rocks, as I still haven’t found one the stores I went to. Thanks a bunch… can’t wait to barbecue!

Christopher G asked: Does anyone know of a bbq grill that is designed and spec’ed (in the manual) to be installed within 1 foot of a brick wall of a house. Local building codes refer to grill installation manuals, and everything we have seen so far includes standard legal language that says not to operate the grill anywhere near any combustible materials (such as “not within 3 feet of any combustible objects, such as siding and fences, or any live electrical appliances.”) We are looking for a built-in unit or a stainless steel freestanding natural gas grill. Thanks for the help.

Art T asked: I’m looking for a gas grill w/ island & need help. I’m looking for the quality grills, not ones sold by sears, lowes, home depot, etc. Does anyone have sites I can visit which would recommend the “best” grill for the money? I’ve looked at OCS, Capital, Outdoor Kitchen Concepts(nice), & Viking. All above $2k. I don’t want to be sent to a Lowes site or a site that reviews how to find a grill, I’m looking at brands.

bengeo asked: I’ve never owned a gas bbq grill, and I want a good one. Cost is a moderate factor. I can’t afford top of the line, but if a $99 Walmart job won’t last long, I need to spend more. What is your experience, good and bad, with gas grills?

miltonandmichele asked: I have been watching “License to Grill” and want to try smoking some things on my gas grill. on the show, they have you create “smole pouches” (1 part wet wood chips to 2 parts dry in perforated aluminum foil) that you lay directly on the heat source. My grill has a metal burner shield. should i remove it and put the packet directly on the flame or lay it on the burner shield?
