Would any gas grill work with a 2.5 gallon propane tank? Or what do I need?

March 26, 2008 By: admin Category: gas grills 1 Comment →

cheri <3 asked:

Because of a new city law the biggest tank we’re allowed to have is 2.5 gallons in our apartment. We have a charcoal grill that we just gave up. We want to get a gas grill, can we just buy any grill or do we have to buy a specific one since the tank can’t be more then 2.5 gallons?

I just purchased a portable gas grill. Do I need to use briquettes with it, or should I use it as-is?

kristen asked:

My grill is an Aussie Adventurer, and is a portable gas grill. I want to use it tonight, but dont know if I should be adding briquettes to the bottom. There is no ledge to place briquettes on, if they were required, they would be placed below the burner. It doesnt seem right adding them, but I always thought that they were needed, even with a gas grill. Help?!?

Grilling Indoors with gas grill safe?

March 22, 2008 By: admin Category: gas grills 5 Comments →

Lynn asked:

I was wondering if grilling indoors with an outdoor grill would be safe? Is it the same as a gas stove, except with propane or are there exhaust fume issues, obviously I could open the windows for ventilation……

This is the one I was considering for my kitchen……….

What kind of Gas BBQ grill should I get?

March 21, 2008 By: admin Category: gas grills 6 Comments →

jbobbe asked:

I am looking for a new gas grill. I almost bought a Charmglow last night, but something told me not to. I read review on it, and I was greatfult that I had not. I know Weber is probably the best grill out there, but you really pat for the name. I was looking to spend $500.00 or less. I love to grill, and cook, and I appreciate finely made things. Anyone have any suggestions?

Gas grill grates are starting to rust?

March 17, 2008 By: admin Category: gas grills 3 Comments →

aaronl94 asked:

My gas grill is fairly new. However, the grates are beginning to rust in some places and it looks as if the protective coating is flaking off. I know that this means I should replace, but how dangerous is it to cook on in the meantime?

Can a gas grill or similar sized propane tank be used temporarily in place of a regular outdoor tank?

March 16, 2008 By: admin Category: gas grills 3 Comments →

Ryan A asked:

We had a 57 gallon propane tank outside out house that was used for a gas stove only. We only went through about 20 gallons of propane per year. This tank (with a half tank of gas) was recently stolen. Is it possible to hook up a gas grill or similar sized propane tank in place of the larger tank that was there? We are selling the house and will not be remaining there long term so it seems pointless to go through the hassle of having another full-size tank installed and paying for a full tank of gas.

A good gas grill around $300?

March 11, 2008 By: admin Category: gas grills 2 Comments →

Brian P asked:

Looking for a good gas grill but don’t have a huge budget. I’ve seen some Aussie grills at Menards and a Charbroil at lowes that look good. But would like recommendations from people. Thanks,

Stanley

gas grill recommendation?

March 03, 2008 By: admin Category: gas grills 4 Comments →

bibi asked:

Hi, i need a recommendation to buy a gas grill,i never bought a gas grill before. i’m thinking a grill that can :

1) give me a good heat eveness,to cook a good steak, so maybe something that can sear meat better too, like stainless steel or cast-iron or procelein-coated cast-iron?? what is the different between these 3 type of cooking surface? which one sear meat better and easier clean up?

2) some area for keeping the food warm.

3) thermostat on the lid so i can know the temp inside the grill.

4) Side burner

5) preferable with electric ignition. not very important.

as i’m new to gas grill, i would like to know more about lava rock or wood, i think i read it somewhere people put lava rock or wood in the gas grill to give extra flavour, so how to do that? can i do that on any type of gas grill or only on certain models that allow this?

my husband doesn’t like to use propane, we are thinking to use natural gas from the house.

Thank you !

Willie
