My brother said not to get a charcoal grill unless I also get a smoker and smoking chips…My brother also suggestes just to go with a gas grill, he says that when you marinade or baste your meat it will come out with a cleaner taste than a charcoal…I am stuck in a rut cause I want to get a grill for my boyfriend and I dont know what to get….Please help…thank you

cooking chicken drumsticks on outdoor gas grill?

February 26, 2008 By: admin Category: gas grills 5 Comments →

P.J. asked:

I make chicken drumsticks on the outdoor gas grill. First i boil it in water until its done, and then i spray the racks well on my outdoor gas grill with pam and heat the grill. The problem i am having is, when i put the chicken on the grill and turn the drumsticks to brown the other side, the chicken sticks to the grill rack and i wind up losing lots of the chicken since it sticks to the racks. How can i prevent this from happening? Thanks for any advice.

Gas Grill newbie question?

February 20, 2008 By: admin Category: gas grills 7 Comments →

LP NEWBIE asked:

I have just bought my first gas grill. After connecting the tank and opening the valve (with all burners off) I am getting a smell of the gas. I have done the leak check they recommend, but can’t find any leaks. Is this normal for a gas grill? Anything else I can check?

How can I fix my gas grill?

February 20, 2008 By: admin Category: gas grills 4 Comments →

Mrolendo asked:

I have a CharBroil gas grill. Last year I always had to turn on the gas and use a match to light it, the ignitor didn’t work but other than that it’s been a good grill. Went to use it and it wouldn’t light. I thought it was out of gas and got a refill, even though the canister didn’t fill empty. It still won’t work. Obviously seems something is blocking gas from flowing to the grill. Don’t know much about grills and their parts but it’s a nice, really large grill so I hate to toss it if this is something that is easy to fix. Any suggestions what to check?

Gas Grill Question - How do we tell how much propane is in the tank?

February 19, 2008 By: admin Category: gas grills 6 Comments →

watterlinn asked:

The tank on our gas grill does not have a guage to indicate how much gas is left in it. How do we tell how full or empty it is?
anyone ever hear of putting hot water on it to tell? so that the water would bead up on the tank at the level the gas comes to?

Storing my Gas Grill?

February 16, 2008 By: admin Category: gas grills 3 Comments →

Kevjuice asked:

I just bought our first propane gas grill (with cover) and was wondering if anyone could suggest where to store it at? Right now, the spot it occupies is in direct sun, and I didn’t know if that would be too hot of an area. I have it covered, but wanted to make sure it’s an OK place.

Cleaning Gas BBQ grill with oven cleaner?

February 10, 2008 By: admin Category: gas grills 2 Comments →

ditchboy434 asked:

I applied oven cleaner to inside of my very dirty BBQ gas grill and I let it sat over night and washed it off good.
Well, good news and bad news, good news is it cleaned off the grease, but the bad news is it also washed off the coding on the side of the grill wall. Instead of black wall, now is kind of white-ish…
I will heat it up real good to burn off the chemical first before using it, but…

Is it safe to use the grill?

Eva

I have a Vermont casting gas grill-I would like to convert from LP to natural gas?

February 09, 2008 By: admin Category: gas grills 2 Comments →

johnykay asked:

I have a vermont casting gas grill with 3 burners and was wondering how complicated it would be to convert it from lp to natural gas.I can easily run the gas line etc…I am mainly wondering about the orafices and the gas valve on the grill itself. No matter how many spare tanks I keep around it seems I am off to exchange or get one filled in the middle of cooking dinner-we use the grill at least once a day thrue the season.

Thanks

Jeanette

Gas Grill is just a couple of months old and gas is not flowing right?

February 07, 2008 By: admin Category: gas grills 6 Comments →

GUS asked:

Fairly new gas grill. Was working fine one day but will barely stay lit now. Replaced old gas bottle with a new one but this did not help. At full throttle the burners barely have a flame coming out of them. The rotisserie burner and side burner will not light at all.

Grilled chicken on a gas grill?

February 05, 2008 By: admin Category: gas grills 10 Comments →

foureyedmom asked:

Help……..everytime I try to cook bone in chicken parts on the gas grill it gets dry. I love chicken on the grill with b.b.q. sauce and want to make it tomorrow but I hate when its dry. Any ideas on what really works? For some reason chicken is the only thing I have trouble with on the grill. I made pork chops tonight and they were very good. Any suggestions would be greatly appriciated. Also about how long should it take. I have tried to look it up myself but I cant find a plain old receipe for bone in chicken parts on the grill with added bbq sauce. I will be using Sweet Baby Rays sauce. Thanks………..
